Support Groups

NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group is a peer support group for adults, 18 years or older, living with a mental illness. It lasts 90 minutes and is free to participants (no membership required). NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group follows a flexible structure without an educational format and does not endorse any medications or medical therapies. All groups are confidential. Any and all diagnoses welcome. No need to RSVP, just come.

NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group is only for people with a diagnosed mental illness. Please no family members; there is a support group specifically for family members. Due to confidentiality, health and human services students are not welcome (i.e. medical, nursing, social work students).

* The Crisis Center is next to the Housing Authority. If you are on State Sreet, get on Piedmont Avenue and go pass the library, Blackbird Bakery, and the Bristol City Health Dept.; under the underpass; and take the fork in the road. The Crisis Center is right where the road forks. It is a small light gray/white building. If you need further directions, please call or email us.*

NAMI Family Support Groups are 90 minute support groups run by family members of people living with a mental illness for family members and loved ones (including friends) of people living with a mental illness. NAMI Family Support Groups are free to attend. They follow a flexible structure without an educational format and does not recommend or endorse any specific medication or medical therapy. NAMI Family Support Groups are confidential. No need to RSVP, just come.
